Cloudera-Krutrim Tie-Up Poised to Transform Business Intelligence

- Cloudera partners with Krutrim to deliver enterprise-scale AI and data capabilities on India’s sovereign cloud.
- The platform powers large-scale analytics and AI workloads for Ola, soon to be offered to other enterprises.
- Supports multilingual, culturally diverse AI models with real-time data processing, governance, and scalability.
Cloudera has announced a strategic partnership with Krutrim to deliver enterprise-scale data and AI capabilities, in a move set to transform how businesses in India harness data for innovation, operational efficiency, and customer engagement. The alliance was unveiled at EVOLVE25, Cloudera’s flagship customer and partner event in Singapore.
Krutrim, India’s vertically integrated sovereign cloud platform, will leverage Cloudera’s hybrid data platform and professional services to power large-scale analytics and data lake workloads. Initially deployed for the Ola Group, Krutrim’s parent company, the solution will soon be extended to other enterprise customers, offering secure and scalable AI infrastructure nationwide.
The partnership is built around Krutrim’s vision to be a comprehensive AI-native cloud platform tailored for Indian enterprises. Its infrastructure spans compute, storage, and data management, purpose-built to support advanced AI workloads, including training and inferencing for large language models (LLMs). These models are designed to cater to India’s multilingual and culturally diverse environment across text, voice, and video applications.
By embedding Cloudera’s technology at its core, Krutrim has created a high-performance environment capable of processing large-scale datasets from diverse sources in real time. This capability enables faster access to insights, better governance, and improved decision-making for enterprises.
For Ola, the deployment has already resulted in enhanced operational intelligence and stronger governance frameworks across critical business functions. With scalability and security as central pillars, Krutrim can now offer AI-driven data lake solutions to a broader spectrum of clients, including startups, research institutions, and large enterprises.
“We are focused on building India’s cloud with deep integrated capabilities across infrastructure, data, and AI to better serve the unique needs of the Indian market”, said Navendu Agarwal, Senior Vice President and Head of Business at Krutrim. “With Cloudera on Krutrim, it will give our clients the scalability and performance to advance data lake use cases with confidence and empower businesses to create and package cost-effective solutions on India's own sovereign cloud”.
Cloudera sees the partnership as a significant step in advancing India’s AI ambitions through enterprise-grade, trusted platforms. “Krutrim’s vision to create a robust AI infrastructure for India aligns perfectly with Cloudera’s mission to enable trusted enterprise AI through data”, said Mayank Baid, Regional Vice President, India & South Asia, Cloudera.
Baid noted that Ola Group’s mission-critical workloads are already running on the Krutrim-Cloud and Cloudera stack. “Working with our professional services team on data quality, governance, and natural language access, we’re excited about co-developing and implementing a solution framework that drives broader enterprise adoption in India”, he added.
Krutrim’s vertically integrated infrastructure is designed for enterprise-scale requirements, incorporating compute power, robust storage systems, advanced data management, and AI-driven applications aimed at the Indian market. Its AI computing stack supports foundational models capable of understanding and generating text, processing voice, and interpreting video, all optimized for India’s linguistic diversity and cultural nuances.
Through this collaboration, enterprises will be able to process massive datasets in real time, enabling faster and more accurate intelligence that can inform decision-making across sectors. For many organizations, this represents a leap forward in leveraging AI for product innovation, customer engagement, and operational efficiency.
The partnership also carries strategic importance for India’s digital sovereignty goals. By providing AI infrastructure hosted on India’s own sovereign cloud, Krutrim ensures that sensitive enterprise data remains within national boundaries, meeting compliance needs while fostering innovation.
The Cloudera-powered platform will soon be made available beyond Ola Group to other enterprises across industries such as finance, healthcare, manufacturing, and public sector organizations. This expansion aims to democratize access to high-performance AI infrastructure in the country, enabling more businesses to experiment, scale, and deploy AI-powered solutions at a fraction of traditional costs.

As India’s technology landscape evolves rapidly, collaborations like Cloudera-Krutrim signal a shift towards building indigenous capabilities that match global benchmarks while being attuned to local requirements. The focus on governance, scalability, and performance ensures that enterprises can innovate with confidence while managing risk.
“The partnership reinforces Cloudera’s position as a preferred partner for data-driven transformation in India’s rapidly evolving technology landscape,” Baid said. “It also underscores Krutrim’s commitment to building an enterprise-grade, India-first cloud that meets the high demands of modern businesses”.
By combining Cloudera’s expertise in data platforms with Krutrim’s sovereign AI infrastructure, the two companies aim to enable organizations to unlock the full potential of their data, transform operations, and deliver superior customer experiences. In doing so, they are not just supporting the Ola Group’s ambitions but setting a foundation for India’s broader AI and digital transformation journey.
